Asphalt Drum Mix Plant
The Asphalt Drum Mix Plant is the plant that is used in the manufacturing of coated road stones, which includes asphalt and macadam. These coated stones are known as blacktop. Fabricated using premium quality material and components, the plant is easy to operate and require minimum maintenance. It constitutes of 3-4 bin feeder, dryer drum, dust collector, asphalt tanks, CRMB mixing tanks and bag house.
Cold Aggregate Three/Four-bin Feeder
These Cold Aggregate Feeder with self relieving bin walls with proper slope ensures
constant discharge of aggregate without bridge forming. Self relieving
bottom openings of the bins with optimum area avoid interlocking. One bin
meant for fines or dust is fitted with vibratory motor to ensure the free
flow of material. Each bin is equipped with an adjustable opening door that
determines the discharge quantity for the materials capacity in outlet. The
material from each bin is drawn out by means of extracting conveyor driven
by adjustable variable speed motor, coupled with gear boxes, that enables to
increase or decrease the material output as per the job mix formula
requirements. The material from the each bin is discharged into gathering
belt driven by constant speed A.C. motor, (different options available).
A single-deck vibrating screen is provided on the slinger conveyor to
remove oversize aggregate received from the 4-bin feeder.
An inclined conveyor mounted on idlers receives aggregate from the
gathering conveyor and feeds it to the dryer.
The dust collection system consists of enclosed multiple cyclones, exhaust
fan and chimney.
Load Out Conveyor
Mixed aggregate from the dryer drum is discharged on an inclined conveyor
provided with a hydraulic hopper at delivery end for feeding the Mix into

The dryer drum is accurately fabricated to ensure proper
heating of aggregates with minimum heat loss. Specially designed flights
lift and cascade the aggregate to reduce the final moisture content to 0.5%
(by weight). It is supported on steel rollers through steel tyres with
idlers and guide rollers. A fully automatic high-pressure auto jet burner is
mounted at one end of the dryer drum. The discharge chute design discharges heated
aggregate directly onto the loadout conveyor.
Collector (Wet Scrubber)
We have available with us a standard range of
pollution unit, which is also called as Wet Dust Collectors and Wet Scrubber. These units are used for Drum Mix Plants and are used for collecting two types of emissions i.e. particulates and blue smoke and imparts cleaner exhaust air. These units work over the principle of Hot Mix Plantting the dust particles entrained in the exhaust gas stream and then trapping them into water droplets. These water
droplets have the exhausted gases and are drained from the system in the
form of water sludge.
Bitumen Storage Tanks
Fabricated from steel plates with 50 mm glass wool insulation, manhole & thermocouples. Bitumen is pumped to the dryer drum through pipe lines. Tanks are fitted with independent on-off type burners (Optional).These asphalt tanks are most reliable and energy efficient units. These tanks are fully automatic and take low operating costs. Moreover there is no coking or hot spots apart from these the tanks recover from temperature rapidly.
CRMB Mixing Tanks
CRMB mixing tanks are used to mix rubberised
compounds with bitumen to produce CRMB (Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen) CRMB
Advantage Over Normal Bitumen. CRMB has Advantage Over Normal Bitumen. They have higher resistance to deformation and higher resistance to impact. These equipments are also skid resistance and are resistant to moisture. The features can be enumerated as:
- Higher resistance to deformation.
- Higher impact resistance, takes heavy traffic.
- Higher skid resistance.
- High resistance to moisture / water absorption
